Benevolence   The Benevolence Team supports the Jacksonville Christian Outreach Center.  The center coordinates requests for aid from families and individuals.  Members of this Team shall help collect food, clothing and other items and deliver to the center.  Members shall, whenever possible, schedule time to volunteer for work at the center.  This Team shall plan, prepare and submit an annual budget request to support the benevolence ministry, which includes the MEALS ON WHEELS program.

Bereavement     The First Touch Team will be notified of a death or crisis situation like a fire in a home, serious illness or surgery or any situation that could require a helping hand on the part of the church family, for members of the First Family.  For funerals this Team would organize and serve the appropriate time, on the day of the funeral a meal for the family either at church or at the chosen home.

Christian Life     The Ethics and Religious Liberty Team is a standing Team consisting of up to seven members chosen for their genuine concern about moral and social issues.  This Team shall identify social and moral issues to which the congregation needs to respond; bring appropriate issues and concern to the attention of the congregation and make suggestions for individual and church response; and relate to the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, helping to make literature, information, resources and action plans available to the entire church.

Counting     The Counting Team shall consist of members to help at the bank on Mondays counting the offering given on Sunday. These members shall also be able to count money, roll money, and use a calculator.

Evangelism   The Evangelism Team shall promote church-wide interest and support of the visitation program (new resident, prospect, sick and shut-in), plan and supervise a church-wide visitation program, maintain an up-to-date file of church and organizational prospects and supervise the taking of the religious census.

Flower   The Flower Team shall be responsible for flowers for all appropriate church occasions as the church calendar indicates.  Individuals wishing to provide flowers for any occasion will consult with the Flower Team.  This Team shall prepare and submit an annual budget request to provide adequate floral arrangements to support the program of the church.

Grounds   The Grounds Team shall be a "hands-on" working Team to maintain or see to the maintenance of the yards, shrubbery, planting of flowers, removal of weeds, upkeep of the parking lots and playing field.  They are to plan and execute church-wide work days, one in spring, one in the fall.      

History   The History Team shall coordinate with the Historian/Archivist to collect and conserve records of the church (legal papers, minutes, membership records, financial records, pictures and news items), write and publish a history of the church and keep it up to date.  The Team will prepare and submit a budget request to assure adequate support for the maintenance of the church history files.

Hospitality   The Hospitality Team will serve as a planning/activator of church receptions, and other church related activities, dealing with food being served (i.e., Dinner on the Grounds, picnics, etc.)  They will coordinate any floral needs with the Flower Team.

Kitchen    The Kitchen Team shall supervise the use and maintenance of the church kitchen and food service equipment.  This Team shall plan, prepare and submit an annual budget request to assure that adequate equipment, materials and supplies are provided to support the church food program as indicated in the church calendar..

Lord's Supper     The Lord's Supper Team shall assist the minister and deacons prior to the Lord's Supper ordinance as needed. This Team will plan, prepare and submit an annual budget request to assure adequate support of the Lord's Supper program as indicated by the church calendar.

Media-Library    The Media-Library Team shall inventory, maintain and supervise the use of books, printed materials, recorders, cassettes, audiovisual center materials, and equipment such as projectors, cassettes, filmstrips, maps, pictures, flip charts, pegboards, flannel boards and others.  This Team shall plan, coordinate, prepare and submit an annual budget request to support all church programs and instruct teachers and workers in the use of audiovisual materials/aide

Missions     The Missions Team shall keep mission projects in harmony with the sponsoring church and denominational program. This Team shall lead the church to assist in mission projects as needed, provide a report on mission activities to the church at business meetings and recommend new mission projects to the church.

Music    The Music Team shall work with the Minister of Music concerning matters relating to supervision and maintenance of all musical instruments, music scores, and hymnbooks.  It shall maintain policies governing use of musical instruments and make recommendations to the Personnel Team in filling vacancies for church organist and pianist.  This Team shall plan, prepare, and submit an annual budget request to assure adequate support of the church music program.

Publicity   The Publicity Team shall promote upcoming events in the church, oversee and coordinate all displays, bulletin boards, signs and advertising activities inside and outside the church building.  This Team shall provide city-wide publicity for special events as indicated by the church calendar.  It shall plan, prepare and submit an annual budget request to assure adequate support of the church publicity program.

Receiving and Nurturing     The Receiving and Nurturing Team shall see to the needs and requirements of all new members.  It shall provide an initial orientation and church information packet to each family joining the membership.  This Team shall assure that all new members are welcomed to the church fellowship and included in church activities.

Senior Adult     The Senior Adult Team shall assist the director of senior adult and extension ministries in all matters relating to senior adult work.  This Team shall plan, prepare an submit an annual budget request to assure support to the church senior adult program.

Sound and Audio Team:  The sound and audio Team shall assess the current capabilities of the church sound/audio equipment, review the current utilization of all systems, and make recommendations to the church for changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of use.  It shall establish long range plans for updating and maintenance of systems and training operators in proper use of equipment and present an annual budget for their plans.  This Team is a permanent Team.

Transportation   The Transportation Team shall supervise the use and maintenance of church-owned vehicles.  This Team shall plan, prepare and submit an annual budget request to support the transportation program of the church.

Baptism     The Baptism Team shall assist the candidates for baptism and the minister during the baptism service as needed.  This Team shall plan, coordinate, prepare and submit an annual budget to provide adequate materials and supplies to support baptismal services.

Librarian: The Libraian will maintain church archives.
