Music and Worship Ministries

    

The 8:30 Worship Choir leads the classic 8:30 worship encounter each Sunday and presents larger musical works during holiday seasons throughout the year.  This group sings a variety of musical styles from classical to contemporary.  Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 in the Music Suite (behind the Fellowship Hall). Membership is open to anyone desiring to add your voice to ours. Join us this week at rehearsal.

The 11:00 Worship Choir and Praise Teams lead the contemporary 11:00 worship encounter each Sunday. The Choir rehearses each Sunday at 6:00PM in the Music Suite (behind the Fellowship Hall) and is open to those wishing to be a part of a larger worship-leading group. Interviews for membership on a Praise Team are arranged with the Minister of Music. Rehearsals for the teams are on Sundays at 5:00. We're always open to others lifting their voice with us in praise to the Lord.  Contact Bro. Andy if you are interested in serving on a team and join us for a rehearsal this Sunday to participate in the Worship Choir.

The Sweet Spirit Singers meet for singing and fellowship on the 1st & 3rd Sundays at 6:00PM in Room 218.  A part of the Senior Adult Ministries, this group is open to all ages who desire to sing the “old songs.” This group occasionally leads worship at the 8:30 classic service.

INSTRUMENTAL GROUPS

The Praise Band accompanies the Worship Choir and Praise Teams at the contemporary 11:00 encounter each Sunday.  We currently employ drums, guitar, bass and keyboards.  Rehearsals are on Sundays at 5:00 PM.  If you are an experienced player seeking a place to serve, contact Bro. Andy to set up an interview.

The Worship Orchestra accompanies the worship choirs and congregational singing, leading worship at least once per month in both morning worship encounters.  Currently our group includes strings, woodwind, brass and percussion, all tuned for praise. Rehearsals are held in the worship center at 3:30 on Sunday afternoons during the school year.  Membership is open to players high school aged and up with at least two years playing experience.  Join us this week.

The Handbell Choir meets on Sunday evenings at 7:00 in the Music Suite.
